Changing background on my Win10 desktop

Once I right click on the desktop and go to Personalization, I drop down to my background to solid color and then select the color, however, it doesn't stay on it.

Can anyone help?

    I understand the solid color background isn’t staying after you set it in Windows 10.

    Have you already tried the Q&A Assist suggestions? In addition, could you confirm:

    • Does the background revert immediately or only after restart/sign‑in?

    In the meantime, please try the following:

    1, Check Ease of Access setting

    • Go to “Settings” > “Ease of Access” > “Display”
    • Make sure “Show desktop background image” is turned On

    If this is off, Windows may ignore your selected background.

    2, Clear the cached wallpaper file

    Sometimes Windows keeps reverting due to a corrupted cache.

    • Press Win + R, type "%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Themes" and press Enter
    • Delete the file named “TranscodedWallpaper”
