HI @Michalis Fotis

Please note that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to hide your personal information in the description. Kindly ensure that you hide any personal or organizational information the next time you post an error or other details to protect personal data.

The error message 550 5.1.8 Access denied, bad outbound sender AS(42004) indicates that the sending account has been restricted by Exchange Online and is no longer permitted to send outbound email, typically due to suspicious or spam-like activity.

If you are a Microsoft 365 administrator, please check whether the affected account appears under Microsoft 365 Defender > Email & Collaboration > Review > Restricted Entities. If the account is listed there, it can be reviewed and unblocked.

Before removing the restriction, Microsoft recommends verifying that the account has not been compromised and is not sending unsolicited or suspicious email. Once the account is unblocked, the restriction is typically removed within approximately one hour.

If you are a standard user and do not have administrative access to Microsoft 365, please contact your IT administrator and provide them with the NDR message. They can review the account status and determine whether it has been added to the Restricted Entities list.

If you’re unsure who your IT administrator is, see How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support
