Microsoft does not provide exceptions or reopen the renewal assessment window after a certification has expired.
For role-based and specialty certifications like MB-330:
- The renewal period is open for 180 days (six months) before the certification expiry date.
- The renewal window cannot be extended or reopened, and there are no exceptions for missed renewals, including medical or personal circumstances.
- If a certification expires, it must be earned again by passing the required exam(s).
To regain the MB-330 certification, the only supported path is to register for and pass the current required exam for that certification.
For any further assistance (for example, to confirm status or get general certification support), a support request can be opened via the Credentials Support channel: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/support/help.
