An application or feature powered by Windows Copilot to assist users with tasks and productivity
Try the following steps to troubleshoot the Copilot app on Windows when it reports connection issues even though the device is online:
- Run the Copilot connectivity troubleshooter
- Open the Get Help app in Windows.
- In the Search bar, type Copilot connectivity troubleshooter.
- Select it and follow the on-screen steps.
- This checks for firewall rules or other blockers that might prevent Copilot from reaching Microsoft services.
- Run the Copilot license troubleshooter
- In the same Get Help app, search for Copilot License Troubleshooter.
- Run it and follow the guidance.
- This verifies that the account and device have the correct Copilot licensing and that the Copilot icon and features should be available.
- Reinstall the Copilot app
- Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Search for Copilot.
- Select … next to Copilot and choose Uninstall.
- After uninstall completes, reinstall Copilot from the Microsoft Store.
If the troubleshooters find issues, apply the suggested fixes and then try Copilot again.
