I have an old pc that runs Windows 10 pretty well, but I want to upgrade to Windows 11 but i dont have tpm 2.0 so is tiny 11 worth it here?

tiny11 is not a Microsoft product, so it’s not officially supported on the Microsoft Q&A forum. Modified or unofficial Windows builds can:

Bypass security features (like TPM/Secure Boot)
Cause update or compatibility issues
Lead to stability or security risks over time

In addition to Q&A Assist, please check if TPM can be enabled. Some PCs have TPM but it’s disabled in BIOS.

Quick check:

Press “Windows + R”
Type “tpm.msc” and press Enter
See if it shows TPM present (version 2.0 required)

If TPM is present but disabled > enable it in BIOS.

About “forcing” Windows 11, even if you find ways online to install Windows 11 on unsupported PCs:

Updates may not install properly
Features may not work as expected
It’s not a reliable long‑term setup

I did check your answer, and I did the TPM.msc thing, and it only showed TPM 1.2

Since “tpm.msc” shows TPM 1.2, it confirms that:

Your PC does have TPM, but

It does NOT meet the Windows 11 requirement of TPM 2.0

According to Microsoft’s requirements, Windows 11 specifically needs TPM version 2.0 (not 1.2).

Even though TPM 1.2 means your system is close, using unofficial builds like tiny11 involves:

Removing or bypassing security requirements

Potential issues with updates or stability

No official support if something breaks

Since your PC runs it well, staying on Windows 10 is the best choice for now.

You can also double‑check BIOS. Some systems can upgrade TPM firmware from 1.2 > 2.0, but this is rare and hardware‑dependent.

You can check:

BIOS/UEFI settings for “TPM”, “PTT” (Intel), or “fTPM” (AMD)

Your motherboard/PC manufacturer’s support page for TPM firmware updates

Hey Sin-D, I listened to your advice, and I didn't go with tiny 11. I installed normal Windows 11 so I get updates and feature updates from Microsoft themselves

That's a much better outcome than using an unofficial modified build. If you installed the standard Microsoft version of Windows 11 and it's running well, you'll continue to receive Windows Update and feature updates directly from Microsoft.

It's up to you. Personally, I would never use an unsupported operating system.
