My Microsoft account is showing up "view only" all of a sudden

Last week, my Mac was messing up, so I logged out of Microsoft and restarted my entire Mac. When I went to log in again, I got an error message that my account can only view documents. This is not true, as I have always been able to create/edit documents from my home Mac. My account is through my school district, and they have made it available for us teachers to be able to create documents from home. How can I get Microsoft to work on my home laptop again?
