The exam is in beta. You are informed of this on the exam page.

You are informed before the exam starts that you will not get the results until after the exam exits the beta period. You are also informed after the exam that you will get your results two weeks after the exam goes live.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/support/about-beta-exams#beta-exam-scoring-and-results

"When you complete a beta exam, you won’t receive a score immediately because the scoring model for the exam is not yet finalized. If you’ve taken a beta exam, you’ll receive your score about 10 days after the exam becomes available worldwide or “goes live” -- approximately 10-12 weeks after the beta period begins. This time reflects a comprehensive process including statistically analyzing results and data, evaluating the performance of each question and reading and evaluating all comments provided during the beta exam. As a result, you may not receive a score for 14 weeks depending on when in the beta process you took the exam. Please note that the beta exam process and the time it takes to receive your results may vary."

For most Microsoft certification exams, results are available within minutes of finishing. However, there are two important exceptions and timing details to be aware of:

    1. Exams with labs or performance-based items
    • If the AI-901 exam includes labs or performance-based questions, scoring can take longer.
    • Labs can take about 30 minutes or more to score.
    • The score is then passed automatically to the certification database and should appear in the Certifications tab of the Learn profile within 24 hours.
    1. Beta exams
    • If AI-901 is currently in beta, results are not provided immediately at the end of the exam.
    • For beta exams, scores are released only after the exam “goes live” (becomes generally available).
    • Beta scoring typically happens about 10 days after the exam goes live, which is usually 10–12 weeks after the beta period begins. Depending on when the exam was taken during the beta period, it can take up to about 14 weeks to receive a score.

How to check certification and score status

    1. Sign in to Microsoft Learn with the same account used to schedule the exam.
    2. Go to the profile → Credentials → Certifications.
    3. Check:
      • Upcoming exams / appointments to confirm the exam shows as delivered.
      • Past exams to see if the AI-901 exam appears and whether a score is available.
    4. If a score is available, select View details on provider site to open the Pearson VUE dashboard and view the score report.

If no score or email after the expected time

    • If the exam is not a beta and does not include labs, but no score or email appears within 24 hours in the Learn profile, this is not normal behavior.
    • If the exam does include labs, wait at least 24 hours for the score to sync to the Learn profile.
    • If the exam is a beta, expect a delay until after the exam goes live, as described above.

If the result still does not appear after the expected window (24 hours for non-beta, or after the beta result release timeframe), open a case with Microsoft Credentials Support using the same account used for the exam so they can investigate account, exam delivery, or result-sync issues.

For issues during the exam session itself (for example, OnVUE connectivity or launch problems), Pearson VUE support is the correct contact.
