Linux on a surface laptop (7th edition, Snapdragon X, Qualcomm Adreno) - Is it possible?

I have the Microsoft Surface Laptop 7th Edition Model 2037. With the Snapdragon X processor and Qualcomm Adreno (X1-85) GPU. I want to know if it's possible to run Linux alongside Windows, dual boot. A while back I started to use Linux on other devices because I need it for my studies, work and personal life. Buying this laptop feels like a huge waste of money right now, since I can't use it. I can't seem to find a definitive answer to my question. Is it possible? What are my options? Will it be possible in the future? Who is working on it in that case?

    Linux can boot and run on the Surface Laptop 7, but hardware support is incomplete. Early kernel support lacked working keyboard, touchpad, touchscreen, audio, USB-A, and SD card functionality. While support has improved over time, the device is not yet considered a fully supported Linux laptop.

    WSL2 (Windows Subsystem for Linux)

    The most practical today. You get a full Linux environment (Ubuntu, Debian, etc.) inside Windows, with filesystem access and terminal tools. Ubuntu 25.04 is available for ARM64 and can be run via WSL on the Snapdragon X Surface Laptop 7. It provides an excellent Linux environment while retaining full hardware support and battery life.
