Completed Microsoft Educator Center (MEC) training history and achievements can be moved into a Microsoft Learn profile, but they cannot be split or selectively reassigned between different accounts.
To retain past MEC achievements (including completed modules) under the current educator account, the same sign-in credentials that were used on the previous MEC account must be used on Microsoft Learn and linked:
- Sign in to Microsoft Learn using the exact same sign-in credentials that were used for the previous MEC account.
- If there is no Learn profile yet with that sign-in, create one when prompted.
- After sign-in/profile creation, a pop-up appears; agree to share the profile and select Migrate data to Learn.
- The MEC achievements then appear in the Learn profile Achievements tab and Transcript.
If a new Learn profile has already been created with different credentials, profiles can be merged as long as only one profile uses a personal Microsoft login account:
- Choose which Learn profile to keep as the main one and sign in to it.
- In login account management, select Add login account and add the other account.
- If that login is associated with another Learn profile, this triggers a merge.
- All learning progress, credentials, and transcripts from both profiles are combined into one profile; this cannot be undone.
This process merges all learning history into a single Learn profile rather than “transferring” specific items like a single MIEE application. After merging, all past MEC achievements that were migrated to Learn are consolidated in the resulting profile.
