JSON Formatting to remove Clipchamp video from Create or upload SharePoint button

How do I hide the Clipchamp video upload option from the +Create or upload button?

I've tried this JSON formatting but it does not work alongside other CommandBarProps formatting:

{

"commandBarProps": {

"commands": {

  "new": {

    "menuItems": [

      {

        "templateId": "NewClipchamp",

        "visible": false

      }

    ]

  }

}

}

}

I think that's because my commandBarProps starts with a square bracket not a curly one.

"commandBarProps": {

"commands": [

  {

    "key": "editInGridView",

    "hide": true

  }

]

}

What is the correct syntax to add all commands in?

Hi Mcintosh, Rebecca

At the moment, I have not found any approach using JSON that supports removing the Clipchamp option.

However, you can uncheck it through the edit menu by following the steps below.

I hope this provides an additional approach and helps you move forward.

    Use the commandBarProps.commands array syntax and the correct command key names. The first JSON sample is invalid because commands must be an array, not an object, and new has been renamed.

    To combine hiding other commands (like editInGridView) and removing the Clipchamp “NewClipchamp” menu item under Create or upload, use a single commandBarProps object with a commands array, for example:

    {
      "commandBarProps": {
        "commands": [
          {
            "key": "editInGridView",
            "hide": true
          },
          {
            "key": "newComposite",
            "menuItems": [
              {
                "templateId": "NewClipchamp",
                "visible": false
              }
            ]
          }
        ]
      }
    }

    Key points:

    • commands must be an array ([]), not an object ({}).
    • Use the updated key name newComposite instead of new for the New / Create or upload menu in document libraries.
    • Multiple command customizations are combined as separate objects inside the same commands array.
