Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls
No. If a Teams meeting was never recorded, neither a recording nor a transcript can be recovered afterward.
For a recording or transcript to exist:
- The organizer or a participant with permission must start the recording (and confirm the recording prompt).
- If there is no message in the meeting chat indicating that recording started, the recording did not begin and no file is created, so nothing can be recovered later.
If recording was started but the file cannot be found, then standard recovery options apply (for example, checking OneDrive/SharePoint recycle bins or temporary storage). However, if recording was never started, there is no recoverable content.
