Azure Portal access error: AADSTS5000225 (tenant blocked due to inactivity)

When trying to access the Azure portal, I am unable to sign in successfully. After authenticating with my Microsoft account, I receive the following error:

interaction_required: AADSTS5000225: This tenant has been blocked due to inactivity.

The tenant associated with my account has not been used for a long time, but I do not need to recover it, as my goal is simply to access Azure and create or associate a new active tenant.

The issue is that this tenant appears to be the default one, and any attempt to access Azure Portal or Microsoft Entra ID (including portal.azure.com and entra.microsoft.com) automatically redirects me to the same error, completely blocking access.

I am not able to select another directory or create a new one through the current sign-in flow.

Is there any way to prevent the redirect to this blocked tenant, change the default tenant associated with my account, or reset the account state so I can create a new tenant from scratch?

At the moment I have no way to access Azure or Entra ID to manage this from the usual portal, so any alternative procedure or assistance to regain access by creating a new environment would be greatly appreciated.

If this is test tenant and not that critical, you can create new Azure Account using same email address. Follow below steps:

Open an in-private/incognito browser window (to avoid automatic sign-in via SSO).

Navigate to https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/ to sign up for a free Azure account. Click on Try Azure for free button.

During the setup, you’ll be prompted to create a new directory (tenant). Once completed, you will become the Global Administrator of this new tenant, giving you full access to manage Azure resources.
