Hello, I will get a Lenovo i5 11th gen Laptop, it is better than my i3 but I have a question:
I switched to a local account on April, but i was signed into a microsoft account that had my laptop activated, am i free to stay on local? will windows automatically activate my i5 without it having to ask me to troubleshoot or have me sign in to my msa in my i3 to activate my i5? will the license stay linked to my Microsoft account? I use Windows 11 Pro.

Please let me know.

If depends on what type of Windows licence you have, where did you get your Windows licence was that pre-installed on the PC or did you purchase a full retail Windows Pro licence directly from Microsoft or purchase the half price Home to Pro upgrade licence from the Store or did you purchase a full retail licence from a 3rd party retailer, and if so, do you have the product key?

Yes, it will remain linked to your Microsoft account But if the lisence came with your old i3 computer it might not transfer to your new computer Have a nice day!
