Microsoft project management software used to plan, manage, and communicate a project schedule and other information among workgroup members, project managers, and other stakeholders.
For single-purchase (one-time) licenses, it is generally possible to move the software to a new computer, provided it is only installed on one device at a time.
In order to transfer, please follow the steps below:
- Uninstall from the old computer
To begin, uninstall Microsoft Project and Visio from your previous device. This ensures the license is no longer in use on that machine.
- Install on the new computer
On your new device, download and install Project and Visio. If your license is linked to your Microsoft account, sign in and download the apps from your account portal
- Activate the applications
After installation, open Project or Visio and activate using the same Microsoft account used previously, or the original 25-character product key
If you encounter any activation issues, you may see an option to activate by phone. This is normal for some versions, simply follow the prompts and confirm that the license has been moved to a new device.
I hope this provides enough clarity and helps you stay inform with your current situation.
