Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 Disconnects and Reports Code 10/43 on Windows 11

Hello. On my ASUS TUF Gaming F15 laptop with Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz, the Wi-Fi keeps disappearing. In Device Manager, a yellow warning triangle appears, and the device status changes to Code 10 or Code 43. After a reboot, Wi-Fi usually works again, but the issue comes back later.

My system is Windows 11, build 10.0.26200.8457. The currently installed driver is Intel Wi-Fi 24.40.0.4. I have already tried:

  • reinstalling the latest driver;
  • uninstalling and reinstalling the driver;
  • resetting Windows network settings;
  • resetting BIOS to factory defaults;
  • disabling adapter power saving;
  • running sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth.

The Event Viewer errors repeat and are tied to Netwtw10 and NDIS:

  • 5005 — internal error failure;
  • 5002 — adapter malfunction detected;
  • 5032;
  • 10317 — miniport detected an internal error;
  • 8000 — Wi-Fi Driver Miniport Halt;
  • 411 — problem starting device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_43F0.

When I remove the driver, Windows falls back to the Microsoft base driver netwtw10.inf 22.0.1.5, but the problem still remains. The Intel installer for 24.20.2.1 refuses to install over the newer version, even after removing the OEM driver package.

I would appreciate help determining whether this is caused by the Intel driver, incompatibility with my Windows build, or the AX201 adapter itself. I can provide additional logs if needed.Hello. Additionally, the issue does not appear to be caused by a permanent hardware failure of the adapter. After a reboot, the device is detected correctly and can operate normally for some time before the problem reoccurs. Basic Windows networking stack tests (for example, a loopback test using ping 127.0.0.1) complete successfully. This suggests that the issue may be related to the driver, its interaction with Windows, or power management behavior rather than a permanent physical defect of the Wi-Fi adapter.
