To prevent automatic sign-in in OneNote for Android on a Samsung phone, remove or sign out the account in the OneNote app. This stops it from using existing Microsoft 365 credentials via Single Sign-On (SSO).
Follow these steps:
- Open OneNote on the Android phone.
- Tap the Me Control (circle icon with the account image) in the upper-left corner.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Sign Out, then tap OK to confirm.
- Fully close OneNote from recent apps and reopen it.
After this, OneNote will no longer automatically sign in with that account. If opened again, it will show the sign-in screen instead of logging in automatically.
If OneNote still signs in automatically due to SSO with another Microsoft 365 app on the device, repeat the process for any additional accounts listed under Me Control → Settings → Account, and ensure those accounts are removed or signed out in other Microsoft 365 apps if needed.
