Greetings,

I seem to have lost my Microsoft Certified Training certification details... It may have expired at this point but it should show up on my transcript. Do I need to contact someone to "merge" my accounts or something?...

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Microsoft Certified Trainer status was removed from the Microsoft Learn transcripts a year or so ago

There is now a separate MCT Portal where MCT status can be seen https://aka.ms/mctportal if you renewed after October 2025

Lost or missing Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) history and older certifications can be caused by expired status, profile migration, or using multiple Learn profiles.

Take these steps:

  1. Verify the correct Learn profile
  2. Check for multiple Learn profiles and merge if needed
    • If there are multiple Learn profiles under different login accounts (for example, one with the Yahoo address and one with the Gmail address), a merge may be required.
    • A merge is allowed as long as only one profile contains a personal Microsoft login account (MSA).
    • To merge:
      1. Sign in to the profile that should become the primary one.
      2. In login account management, choose Add login account.
      3. If that login is associated with another Learn profile, the system will trigger a profile merge and combine learning progress, credentials, and transcripts from both profiles. This cannot be undone.
    • Details are in the Can I merge two profiles of mine into one? section.
  3. Understand legacy/retired certifications
    • Some older exams and certifications have aged out of the Certification Program and no longer appear in Learn profiles. This can affect visibility of legacy certifications like older MCSE variants.
    • If a certification has aged out, it may not show on the current transcript even if it was previously earned.
  4. If MCT status is expired and needs reinstatement
    • If the goal is to reinstate MCT status (not just view history), the MCT Program has specific reinstatement requirements:
      • Must have been an MCT in good standing.
      • Must maintain an MCT‑qualifying certification in the Learn profile.
      • If lapsed more than 3 years, additional proof of instructional skills is required.
    • Reinstatement is handled directly by the MCT Program via the contact in the MCT Reinstatement Requirements section.
  5. Contact official support for missing certifications/MCT history
    • If the transcript still does not show expected certifications or MCT history after confirming the correct profile and performing any needed merge, open a support request:
      • Use Microsoft Credentials Support for missing certifications or transcript issues, as described in the Missing Exams or Certifications article.
      • For MCT‑specific issues (MCT history, MCT status, or reinstatement), use the MCT Program support options:
        • Submit a support request via the MCT Portal.
        • Or contact the MCT Program using the method listed under MCT Reinstatement Requirements.

These support channels can review the Learn profile, prior Certification Profile, and MCT records and advise whether a merge, correction, or reinstatement is required.
