I keep on receiving reminder mails from Entra ID / Microsoft Security for queries that I already have completed.
This is very anoying and a waste of time.

Who do I need to contact to get this resolved?

Microsoft Security | Microsoft Entra | Microsoft Entra ID

Notification emails from Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Security are controlled and sent by Microsoft to the administrators configured as recipients. To reduce or stop unwanted reminders, the issue must be handled by an administrator in the tenant; end users cannot change these settings themselves.

    Actions to take:

    1. Identify and contact the appropriate administrator
      • For work or school accounts, contact the organization’s Microsoft 365 or Entra ID administrator or Help desk. If unsure who that is, use the guidance in “How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin?” (mentioned in the referenced Q&A) or ask internal IT.
      • Explain that repeated Entra/Microsoft Security reminders are being received for tasks already completed and that notification settings need review.
    2. Have the admin verify notification configuration
      • Admins should ensure that notification email addresses are set correctly and that the right people (or distribution lists/shared mailboxes) receive Entra-related notifications, as recommended in the Microsoft Entra general operations guidance.
      • They can configure or adjust notification recipients (for example, for Entra Domain Services or other Entra-related alerts) in the Microsoft Entra admin center under the relevant service’s notification settings.
    3. If the problem persists, open a support case with Microsoft
      • An administrator should open a support ticket with Microsoft, providing details such as:
        • The type of notification (for example, Entra ID Protection, Connect Health, access reviews, or expiring certificates).
        • The email address receiving the reminders.
        • Approximate dates/times and copies of the emails.
      • For Entra-related issues, admins can use the global support phone numbers or standard Microsoft support channels to escalate.

These steps ensure the tenant’s notification configuration is corrected and that Microsoft support can investigate if reminders are being sent incorrectly.
