My Email attachment of 21 KB goes to 588 bytes when I file the email into a folder?

I receive emails with attachments from HCG and I drag the email into my HCG Folder. I re-open the email from inside the HCG Folder and the attachment size goes from 21 KB originally when sent to 588 bytes and a blank screen? Where has all the data gone?
