Hi Windoors,
Thank you for sharing your detailed testing, especially the LatencyMon results and driver rollback checks. That helps narrow this down significantly.
At this point, you can consider trying these recommended workarounds:
1, Revert the preview update - if the issue started right after installing KB5089573:
- Go to Settings > Windows Update > Update history > Uninstall updates
- Remove KB5089573
- Restart the device
2, Prevent it from reinstalling to stay on a stable build:
- Go to Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options
- Turn OFF “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available”
- Optionally pause updates temporarily
3, Short-term stability adjustments if rollback isn’t feasible:
- Reset power plans with this command line:
powercfg -restoredefaultschemes(run in Command Prompt with Admin privilege) - Toggle Game Mode OFF > restart > ON
- Test without background overlays (e.g., Game Bar / GPU overlay)
Preview updates are continuously refined, and improvements are typically included in the following cumulative update. Staying on a stable build or waiting for the next update is often the most reliable approach if you encounter regressions like this.
