The message indicates that the email being used is treated as a personal Microsoft account, but the Microsoft 365 Family subscription must be associated with a specific Microsoft account, and Word/Excel must be signed in with that exact account.

    Follow these steps in order:

    1. Confirm which account has the Family subscription
      1. Close all Office apps.
      2. Go to the Microsoft account Subscriptions page: Subscriptions.
      3. Sign in with each personal email address that might have been used to activate the Family subscription.
      4. Verify which account actually shows an active Microsoft 365 Family (or Personal) subscription. That is the only account that will work for activating Word and Excel.
    2. Sign out of the wrong account in Word and Excel
      1. Open Word (or Excel).
      2. Select the name/profile icon at the top right.
      3. Choose Sign out for all listed accounts.
      4. Close Word/Excel.
    3. Remove cached Office credentials (if needed)
      1. Open Control PanelCredential ManagerWindows Credentials.
      2. Look for any entries related to MicrosoftOffice16 or old Microsoft/organization accounts and remove them.
      3. Close Credential Manager.
    4. Sign back in with the correct subscription account
      1. Reopen Word or Excel.
      2. When prompted to sign in, use the personal Microsoft account confirmed in step 1 that shows the active Family subscription.
      3. After sign-in, go to File → Account and, if available, select Update License so the apps pick up the correct subscription.

If the @skopeindia.com address is a work/school address but the subscription is a Microsoft 365 Family (home) subscription, do not use that work address in the desktop apps. Use only the personal Microsoft account that owns the Family subscription.
