Payment interruptions and a website that does not work properly when registering for Exam PL-300 are commonly associated with issues on the Pearson VUE side, especially after multiple failed payment attempts.
When multiple payment attempts fail, Pearson VUE may place a wide block on the account (often surfaced as ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK behind the scenes). Once this happens, further scheduling or payment attempts will continue to fail with generic “unexpected error” messages until the block is removed.
To resolve this:
- Contact Pearson VUE support directly and ask them to check and remove any block on the account:
- Use the Pearson VUE Microsoft contact options listed at Pearson VUE Support.
- If the problem persists or is related to the Microsoft certification profile itself, open a ticket with Microsoft Certification Support using the guidance at Microsoft Certification Support.
- After support confirms the block is cleared, try scheduling the PL-300 exam again and complete payment in a single successful attempt.
These steps have resolved similar “unexpected error” and interrupted payment issues for other candidates scheduling PL-300 and other Microsoft certification exams.
