Sending an email conversation with the hacker to Microsoft is not a supported way to regain access to a hacked Microsoft account. Account recovery is handled only through the official self-service recovery and security flows.

To try to get the account back, use these supported steps:

    1. Follow the hacked/compromised account guide Use the official guidance to recover a hacked Microsoft account, including scanning devices, changing the password (if still possible), and checking account settings:
    2. Use the Sign-in Helper / recovery form If access is already lost (password, security info, or sign-in methods changed), use the automated recovery tools: The result of the recovery form is sent to the working email address provided, usually within 24 hours. If the form cannot verify ownership, it can be resubmitted (up to two times per day), but there is no separate email channel where sending chat logs with the hacker will override this process.
    3. If recovery fails Multiple moderator answers confirm that if the recovery form cannot verify the account and the attacker has replaced the security info, there is no other working method to recover a personal Microsoft account, and support agents cannot bypass this or manually reset passwords.
    4. After regaining access If access is restored, immediately:
      • Run a full antivirus/malware scan on devices.
      • Change the password to a strong one.
      • Review and fix security/account settings (connected accounts, forwarding, automatic replies, aliases, and security info) as described in the hacked-account article.

There is no documented or supported process where emailing Microsoft a conversation with the hacker will by itself restore the account. All recovery decisions are based on the official recovery and verification flows.
