How do I permanently set my screen? It keeps reverting back to another picture.

It seems you've Windows Spotlight enabled.

Go to Settings > Personalization > Background and set it to Picture instead.

Windows 11 may be switching the background because of slideshow/Spotlight features or other personalization settings. Configure it to use a single, fixed picture and disable features that rotate images.

    1. Set a single background image
      1. Open Settings > Personalization > Background (or right‑click the desktop and select Personalize).
      2. Under Personalize your background, select Picture.
      3. Choose your image (from the defaults or Browse to pick one from the device).
      4. Under Choose a fit for your desktop image, pick the desired fit (for example Fill or Fit) so it displays correctly.
    2. Turn off rotating/automatic backgrounds
      1. In Settings > Personalization > Background, make sure Slideshow and Windows spotlight are not selected.
      2. If using multiple desktops, ensure the same picture is set for each desktop: under Background, right‑click the image preview under Recent images and select Set for all desktops.
    3. Check lock screen and sign‑in screen (if they appear to change the image)
      1. Go to Settings > Personalization > Lock screen.
      2. Under Personalize your lock screen (or Background), select Picture and choose the desired image.
      3. Turn Off or On the option Show the lock screen background picture on the sign-in screen depending on whether the same image should appear at sign‑in.
      4. If Windows spotlight is causing Bing images to appear, switch it to Picture or Slideshow, and turn off any options like Get fun facts, tips, tricks, and more on your lock screen.

After these changes, Windows will use a fixed picture for the desktop and lock/sign‑in screens and stop rotating to other images.

    Hi,

If that doesn't work, check if you have any school or work accounts configured in Start Menu > Settings > Accounts > Work & School Access > check if you have an account configured.

Probably one of the accounts has policies being applied, causing the wallpaper to change.

    Or

You can use a third-party app to set it as Lively Wallpaper.
