Hello,
I am trying to access my electricity bill details on checkgepcobill.pk using Microsoft Edge, but the bill information is not being displayed. The website loads correctly, but when I enter my GEPCO reference number and click "Check Bill", the page refreshes but does not show any bill details.
I have already tried the following steps:
The strange thing is that checkgepcobill.pk works perfectly fine on Chrome and Firefox — only Microsoft Edge has this issue.
Can someone help me troubleshoot this? Is this a known Edge compatibility issue with Pakistani utility websites?
Here is the link: https://checkgepcobill.pk/
Thank you in advance!
Troubleshooting website display or functionality issues in Edge on Windows 11
Hello randy,
I think when a site loads fine in Chrome and Firefox but not in Edge after you've already cleared cache/cookies, disabled extensions, turned off tracking prevention, and tried InPrivate, it tends to point more toward something on the site's end than something we can fix from Edge.
A couple of things still might be worth a quick try on the Edge side:
edge://settings/content/cookies > Allow > Add, and add [*.]checkgepcobill.pk so the site is explicitly whitelisted for cookies and site data. Sometimes that helps if Edge is silently blocking storage access for that domain. If neither of those changes anything, it probably is a compatibility issue with how the GEPCO site renders in Edge specifically — in which case the realistic path is to report it to GEPCO so they can look at why the bill page doesn't render in Edge. In the meantime, Chrome or Firefox is fine to use for checking the bill.

This behavior is consistent with Microsoft Edge blocking or interfering with parts of the page that load or display the bill details, even when tracking prevention is turned off.
Try the following Edge-specific steps:
edge://settings/privacy.F12 to open DevTools, then open the Console.Tracking Prevention blocked access to storage for <URL> or blocked resource loads. If such messages appear for the billing site or its scripts, tracking prevention or cookie blocking is likely causing the issue.edge://settings/content/cookies.If the site continues to work in Chrome/Firefox but not in Edge even after these steps, it is likely a site compatibility issue with Edge’s tracking prevention or storage handling. In that case, use the Settings and more > Help and feedback > Send feedback option in Edge while reproducing the problem so the Edge team can investigate.
