A tool for managing user identities, credentials, and access across on-premises and cloud environments
The email received from MSSecurity-noreply@microsoft.com is the standard notification used by Microsoft Entra access reviews. However, the access review itself is fully controlled by the organization’s Entra administrators and reviewers, including the start and end dates. When a review is configured to end, users can no longer submit decisions; the My Access portal then shows “This review has ended”, even if the email text still mentions a later date.
Because only the review creator or designated reviewers can change the review schedule or record decisions, the steps to address this are:
- Open the My Access portal directly instead of using the email link:
- Go to
https://myaccess.microsoft.com/. - Select Access reviews in the left menu and confirm that there is no active review for JiraSoftware-User-EVDD. If it shows as ended, no further self-review action is possible.
- Go to
- Contact the internal owner of the access review or the application/team that owns JiraSoftware-User-EVDD (for example, the Jira or Entra admin team):
- Provide them with the screenshots showing the email date and the “This review has ended” message.
- Ask them either to:
- Re-open or create a new access review including the account, or
- Manually confirm continued access in Entra (for example, by keeping the user in the relevant group or access package) so that access isn’t removed when review results are applied.
- If access is later removed as part of the completed review, request re‑assignment through the same owner or via My Access → Access packages (if Jira access is delivered through an access package) so they can re‑grant access.
The Microsoft Entra service itself can’t extend or override an ended review from the user side; only the organization’s administrators or designated reviewers can adjust or re-run the review or approve access on behalf of the user.
