trying to turn on the f5 thru f7 keys for volume?

every time i press f5 thru f7 to adjust volume on my hp touch desktop. it just switches to the search bar and other tabs. there is no fn lock or anything on here. i have repeated hit fn and esc to no avail. and when I restart the pc and hit f10 for the setting the bios settings are locked so I can't even adjust. please help. I am using the wireless keyboard and mouse as well that came with the pc. thank you in advance. and this is after i turned off the carot browsing

    Aww damn, ya that's what I figured. Since I tried looking it up and couldn't find anything regarding it on pc only on laptops. Thank you for trying to help
