Hi,

May I ask if this happens only on a specific app?

In the meantime, try to press the shift key 5 times to turn the sticky key option. If the option pops up, please choose No. Check if the characters are still repeating.

Please let me know how it goes.

Stay Safe!

In Word, characters repeating or text being overwritten while typing is usually caused by Overtype mode being turned on.

To turn off Overtype mode in Word:

    1. Select File > Options.
    2. Select Advanced.
    3. Under Editing options, clear both:
      • Use the Insert key to control overtype mode
      • Use overtype mode
    4. Select OK, then try typing again.

This stops existing characters from being replaced as new characters are typed.
