I am using Office 365 apps from 2025. I noticed that Co-Pilot is missing from Office apps. I need this to be available on all Office apps as I am 365 subscriber.

Copilot in Microsoft 365 apps only appears when certain conditions are met. To make Copilot available across Office apps, follow these steps:

    1. Verify the correct subscription and account
      • Copilot is available in the Home tab of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook on the web for Copilot subscribers.
      • Ensure sign-in with an account that has a Copilot-eligible license:
        • Home users: Microsoft 365 Personal or Family, or Copilot Pro.
        • Business users: Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Business Standard, Business Premium, E3, E5, F1, or F3 and a Microsoft 365 Copilot license.
      • For new/unsaved or local files, the primary account shown at the top of the app window must be the Copilot-licensed account.
    2. Make sure Office apps are up to date (Windows)
      • Open any Microsoft 365 app (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
      • Go to File > Account.
      • Use the Office update controls as described in "Install Office updates" to ensure the latest build is installed.
    3. Refresh the license (Windows)
      • In any Microsoft 365 app, go to File > Account.
      • Select Update License.
      • Close and restart all Microsoft 365 apps so the license refresh takes effect.
    4. Check the update channel (business users on Windows)
      • Open any Microsoft 365 app.
      • Go to File > Account.
      • In Product Information, check the update channel:
        • If Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel is shown, Copilot features are not available.
        • To use Copilot, the device must be on Current Channel or Monthly Enterprise Channel.
      • Contact the internal help desk or IT support to move the device to the correct channel. Until then, Copilot is available in the web versions of the apps.
    5. Check privacy settings (Windows)
      • Open any Microsoft 365 app.
      • Go to File > Account.
      • Under Account Privacy, select Manage Settings.
      • Ensure Experiences that analyze your content is turned on.
      • Scroll down and ensure All connected experiences is turned on.
      • If the organization manages these settings, contact the Microsoft 365 admin.
    6. For Mac desktop apps
      • Ensure Office for Mac is updated to the latest build (see "Update Office for Mac automatically").
      • Refresh the license:
        1. In any Microsoft 365 app, select the app name menu (for example, Word or PowerPoint) at the top of the screen.
        2. Select About <app name>.
        3. Select More Info....
        4. Select Refresh License.
        5. Close all documents and restart all Microsoft 365 apps.
      • Check privacy settings in Word:
        1. Open Word.
        2. Go to Word > Preferences > Privacy.
        3. Turn on Experiences that analyze your content.
        4. Scroll down and turn on All connected experiences.
        5. If managed by an organization, contact IT.
    7. For web apps (Microsoft365.com)
      • Refresh the browser page and check if Copilot appears.
      • If Copilot still does not work, enable third-party cookies as described in "I am getting license validation errors with Copilot" so Copilot can validate the license.
    8. If Copilot is still missing or disabled
      • Follow the steps in "How to find and enable missing Copilot button in Microsoft 365 apps" end-to-end.
      • If issues persist, the Microsoft 365 admin should:
        • Confirm assignment of a license that supports Microsoft 365 Copilot.
        • Ensure Copilot is not blocked by organizational policies.
