It has come to my notice recentley that my minecraft account or possibly microsoft account has been hacked and the email tied to the account has changed. Whenever I attempt to sign into that account i get met with a message to enter my email and sign in, however, whenever i try to enter my email to sign in, it says that it will send an email to another email in order to verify my account and email.

    Welcome Colin Chan,

I understand how frustrating it can be when your Microsoft (and possibly Minecraft) account has been compromised and the recovery email has been changed, preventing you from signing in.

Please try these next steps (in this order):

    • Sign out of your Microsoft account everywhere, then sign back in only on a trusted device (or a fresh browser profile).
    • Review your Microsoft account sign-in history and mark any unfamiliar sign-ins as “This wasn’t me.”
    • Check for connected apps/services that can access your Microsoft account and remove anything you don’t recognize.
    • Run a full malware scan and remove unknown browser extensions (open Start > search Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Scan options > Full scan >Click Scan now and wait for it to finish)

If the entries still reappear after the steps above, please contact Microsoft Support:

    • Visit the Microsoft Support contact page: Contact - Microsoft Support
    • In the search bar provided on the page, type "recovery account" and press Enter.
    • Click on the "Get Help" button that appears.
    • Scroll down the page until you see and click on the "Contact Support" option.
    • When prompted to select your product or service, choose "Other Products".
    • For the category, choose "Manage account security".
    • Look for and click on "Chat with a support agent in your web browser".
    • When prompted, provide a valid contact email where Microsoft can reach you regarding your case.
    • Explain your situation clearly: Be concise but provide all the relevant details.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas.

Thank you for your time and understanding.
