I purchased a Office 2024 license but cannot download 2024

I have a license key and paid $179. Whenever I try to download 2024, it gives me a 365 pkg. I don't want 365, and my key is for 2024. Where can I download a 2024 Office pkg for my iMac (Sonoma 14.4.1)?

For Office 2024 on Mac, the download and installation are handled through the same site and installer framework as Microsoft 365. The key difference is the license attached to the signed-in account, not a separate “Office 2024-only” download package.

To get Office 2024 on an iMac (Sonoma 14.4.1):

    1. Confirm the product type
      • If this is a home product with a product key (for example, Office Home & Business 2024), first redeem the key so it is tied to a Microsoft account.
      • Go to https://microsoft365.com/setup and sign in with an existing or new Microsoft account, then enter the product key to redeem it. This step adds the Office 2024 license to that account.
      • After redemption, the product will appear under that account’s services/subscriptions.
    2. Download from the account that redeemed the key
      • After the key is redeemed, sign in to the same Microsoft account and go to the section to download and install Microsoft 365 or Office.
      • The installer offered there is used for both Microsoft 365 and perpetual Office (such as Office 2024). The license (Office 2024 vs Microsoft 365 subscription) is determined by the account and product associated with it.
    3. Install and activate on Mac
      • Download the Mac installer from the account page and run it on the iMac.
      • When prompted to sign in after installation, use the same Microsoft account that redeemed the Office 2024 key. That account’s license will activate Office as the 2024 perpetual product rather than as a Microsoft 365 subscription.

If the product is a business or volume license (for example, Office Professional Plus or other volume variants), the download and installation may be handled differently and typically require IT/volume licensing channels rather than a consumer download page.
