Restoration or reissuance of a redeemed LinkedIn Premium entitlement tied to a Microsoft 365 student promotion cannot be handled through community or self-service tools and must be reviewed directly by Microsoft support with access to subscription and billing systems.
To proceed, the subscription and billing support team needs to review the Microsoft 365 subscription, the promotion, and the LinkedIn entitlement details together. Use the official Microsoft support channels for Microsoft 365/account and billing, and provide all evidence listed (LinkedIn ticket screenshots, proof of redemption, refund confirmation, and the original Microsoft promotional email) so they can validate and restore or otherwise resolve the entitlement.
Follow these steps to reach the correct support path:
- Go to the Microsoft 365/account and billing support entry point:
- Use the Microsoft 365 customer service and support options listed under Microsoft 365 and Account & Billing Help.
- When prompted for product/category, choose:
- Product/Service: Microsoft 365 & Office
- Category: Manage my subscription / Billing & subscriptions (or closest available option)
- Select a contact method:
- Choose Chat with a support agent or the phone callback option when available.
- In the case description, clearly state:
- That this is about the Microsoft 365 + LinkedIn Premium Career student promotional offer.
- That the 12‑month LinkedIn Premium Career benefit was successfully redeemed on April 13, 2026.
- That after a payment method/subscription update, the entitlement was removed and LinkedIn has already refunded the unintended charge and directed the case to Microsoft because the entitlement is managed by Microsoft.
- That the request is specifically to restore the already‑redeemed entitlement, or if that is technically impossible, to reissue or provide a replacement activation for the remaining term.
- When the agent is connected, provide:
- Microsoft account email used for the Microsoft 365 subscription.
- LinkedIn account identifier (as requested by support).
- Screenshots of the LinkedIn support ticket confirming successful redemption and refund.
- Proof of the original redemption (e.g., LinkedIn subscription page showing the promotion previously applied, if available).
- The original Microsoft promotional email.
If the front-line agent cannot resolve it, explicitly ask for escalation to a higher-tier billing/subscription support team that can work with LinkedIn’s entitlement systems.
If there is any dispute about charges or refunds beyond what LinkedIn already refunded, use the Microsoft subscription refund process as well:
- Sign in to the Microsoft account and review subscriptions and charges on the Services & subscriptions page.
- If any Microsoft 365 subscription charges related to this promotion need to be adjusted and are eligible, follow the documented steps in How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription.
- If additional help is needed, use Contact Microsoft Support from that article and choose Contact Support after using Get Help.
Because entitlement restoration depends on back-end systems and promotion rules, only Microsoft support with account access can confirm whether the original entitlement can be restored, reissued, or replaced.
