Have you tried repairing Edge itself
under Apps, Installed Apps, click the 3 dots
and try Modify.

Latest Insider Prev broke my system. MS Edge is not loading. Files are corrupted and missing. I've spent 4 hrs to get it to a workable state by wiping it and now it's doing it again. Fix this mess.

- check the windows update if then check for repair windows system files properly
- remove the bad insider build if possible
- make sure you are using stable edge version
Repair Corrupted Windows Files
Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run these one-by-one:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealthWait until complete.
Then run:
sfc /scannowIf it says files were repaired:
- reboot
- run
sfc /scannowagain until it reports no integrity violations
