Unauthorized account sign in attempt.

At 12:38am on May 17, there was an attempt to sign into my Microsoft account. I received a verification code email as a result of this sign in attempt.

They may still be attempting to sign into my account as when I went to sign into my account on my own computer it said after one attempt with a password that there was too many attempts with a password and another sign in method must be used.

I don't know if there should be action at this point but I just wanted to see if there was anything that can be done.

    You can setup a Login Only Alias and disable Sign-In for your current email address. Then, if all the Bad Guys have is your old alias, they get "This username has been turned-off for sign in" at the very first step of the logon process and can not continue and you never get a MFA verification email.
