The free 3‑month Xbox Game Pass offer that comes with some devices typically requires adding a valid payment method (credit or debit card) to the Microsoft account to activate the trial and set up recurring billing.

Based on the available information, if adding a card is not possible (no card of your own and parents will not allow use of theirs), the promotion cannot be redeemed in the usual way.

For this specific “cannot redeem Game Pass, always asking for debit card” scenario, the documented guidance is to contact Xbox Support so they can review the entitlement and advise on options:

    1. Go to Xbox Support: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us
    2. Choose the appropriate product (e.g., Xbox Game Pass / Subscription).
    3. Use the contact options (chat or call) and explain that the device includes a 3‑month Game Pass offer but a card is not available to add.

Any alternative redemption path or exception (for example, using another payment method type) can only be confirmed by Xbox Support.
