Opening and reading PDF files in Microsoft Edge on Windows 11

Hey!
So I was just opening a course file to study for my exams when I was suddenly faced with this page, and it's not about one single PDF; it's every single one that I try to open. And yes, I tried opening it on other apps like Firefox, and I can see the contents there, so unlike what most replies suggest, the file that I am trying to open is not corrupted.
I have tried modifying and restoring Edge through settings, and have tried clearing the cache as well. And none of it works.
And FYI, I had this update in Windows today, and after that, it started to act up. Can anyone please suggest any useful measures?

Use the built-in troubleshooting steps for Microsoft Edge and PDF viewing, focusing on fixing Edge itself and verifying PDF support.
If the issue coincides strictly with a Windows update and persists after Edge repair, using an alternative PDF reader (such as Microsoft Purview Information Protection viewer or Foxit Reader) is a supported workaround until a subsequent Edge/Windows update resolves the plugin/preview issue.
