Hi Riccardo R-R,
It sounds like the Canadian Multilingual Standard keyboard is no longer appearing after your reboot. This layout is still available in Windows, so the behavior you’re seeing is typically related to how the keyboard layouts are configured for your language profile.
In addition to Q&A Assist's answer, here are some checks that you can try in this case:
1, Re-add the keyboard layout
- Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language
- Select your language (e.g. English (Canada)) > Options
- Under Keyboards, click Add a keyboard
- Choose Canadian Multilingual Standard
2, Set it as the primary layout
- In the same Keyboards list, remove any layouts you don’t use
- Keep Canadian Multilingual Standard as the main one
3, Restore the input indicator (if switching is not visible)
- Open Control Panel > Change input methods
- Select Advanced settings
- Enable Use the desktop language bar when available
If the option still doesn’t appear after these steps, it may be worth checking your Windows edition to confirm language features are fully supported.
