The error interaction_required: AADSTS5000225: This tenant has been blocked due to inactivity means the Microsoft Entra tenant is in an inactive, blocked state as part of the tenant lifecycle. While in this state, sign-ins to that tenant are blocked.

Key points from the lifecycle behavior:

When a tenant is marked inactive, Microsoft blocks sign-ins (error AADSTS5000225).
Administrators can request reactivation only within 20 days of the tenant entering the inactive state.
If the tenant remains inactive and blocked for more than 20 days, it is deleted and cannot be recovered.

To proceed, the appropriate action depends on the role and timing:

If an administrator needs to reactivate the tenant (and it has been blocked for less than 20 days):
- Contact Microsoft support using the global support phone numbers to request tenant reactivation.
- Do not submit multiple support requests for the same issue; wait for the decision on the existing case.
If the tenant will not be reactivated:
- After 20 days in the inaccessible state, the tenant is deleted and is not recoverable.
- Review Microsoft’s data protection policies to understand what happens to data when leaving the service.
