Here's how to turn off the notification box display.
First, you can turn off notifications entirely this removes the notification box from appearing when you open that panel. Here's how:
- Open Settings
- Go to System Notifications
- Toggle Notifications Off
Result
- The notification section disappears no alerts shown
- The calendar still opens when clicking the clock
Please note: You won’t see any notifications anymore, but your calendar will still pop up when you click the clock
Second you can also use Focus Assist. This is a softer approach that suppresses notifications without fully disabling them.
Here's how:
- Go to Settings System Focus assist or Do Not Disturb in Windows 11 Set to
Priority only OR Alarms only
Result
- Notifications won’t appear in the panel
- Calendar stays usable
