A refund may be possible, but it is not guaranteed, especially if the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription was purchased more than 72 hours ago and has been used.
To try for a refund, follow these steps:
- Go to the Microsoft account Services page and sign in with the account that was charged: https://account.microsoft.com/services
- Find the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription under Services & subscriptions.
- Select Manage, then choose Cancel subscription or Turn off recurring billing so you are not charged again.
- After canceling or turning off recurring billing, go to the refund page for apps and games and sign in: Request a refund for Microsoft Store apps on a Windows PC.
- Select the recent Game Pass charge, fill out the refund request form with the reason, and submit it.
If the charge is not recognized or looks fraudulent, also follow the guidance to investigate billing charges and work with the bank or card issuer as needed.
Refunds, when approved, are usually processed within a few business days and returned to the original payment method.
