Access to copilot.microsoft.com can be blocked or restricted in several ways. Use these steps to troubleshoot and restore access.

1. Check for parental controls or family settings
   • If personal Microsoft accounts are used, Microsoft Family Safety can be configured to block the Copilot app or the copilot.microsoft.com site.
   • A family organizer can:
     • Open the Microsoft Family Safety app and verify that Copilot is not blocked as an app on Windows, Xbox, or Android devices.
     • Remove any app blocks or screen time limits that apply to Copilot.
2. Check device-level or OS parental controls
   • On Apple devices, Screen Time can be used to block the Copilot app or restrict web content.
   • Ensure Screen Time is not configured to block Copilot or the copilot.microsoft.com domain.
3. Check browser-based blocking
   • In browsers such as Microsoft Edge, device-based or browser-based parental controls can be configured to block specific domains.
   • Verify that copilot.microsoft.com is not listed as a blocked site in the browser’s family/parental control or content filtering settings.
4. Check home router or network filtering
   • Many consumer routers allow blocking specific domains for all devices on the network.
   • Sign in to the router’s admin interface and confirm that copilot.microsoft.com is not configured as a blocked domain.
   • If it is blocked, remove the block or add an allow rule, then retry accessing Copilot.
5. If still blocked
   • If none of the above apply or the block cannot be located, contact the person who manages the Microsoft Family group, device parental controls, or home router to review and remove any restrictions on copilot.microsoft.com.
