Use these steps to troubleshoot the issue where Elevate does not redirect to Microsoft Learn and stays on the same page:
- Try a different browser and a private/incognito window to rule out cached data or extensions blocking the redirect.
- Clear the browser cache and cookies, then sign in again to the Elevate platform and retry opening the course.
- Make sure the Microsoft account used for training is working correctly by signing in directly to Microsoft Learn at https://learn.microsoft.com/training/.
- If sign-in issues appear (for example, additional verification required), resolve them via https://support.microsoft.com as described for Microsoft accounts used with Learn.
- If the redirect still fails, capture any error shown in the browser console (F12 → Console) when clicking the course link; this is a common step when registration or navigation fails on Learn-integrated training experiences.
- Contact the Elevate platform or program support (for MS MIE Fellow / education programs) and provide details: browser used, whether private mode was tried, and any console errors. For Microsoft education-related training and programs, additional guidance and support resources are available via the Education help & learning and Educator Center pages.
If the issue is specific to a Microsoft Learn profile or account linkage (for example, progress not saving or account not registering), also try:
- Opening Microsoft Learn in a private browser window and confirming that the account can register and save progress.
- If unable to register an account, follow the guidance to retry in private browsing and capture console errors.
If the problem persists after these steps, raise a support ticket through the appropriate education or MSLE/MIE program portal so the team can investigate the Elevate–Learn integration for the account.
