Microsoft Learn profiles are single-user; an additional person cannot share the same profile. However, multiple login accounts can be added to one Learn profile so that the same individual can sign in with different accounts.
Key points:
- A Learn profile belongs to one person and tracks that person’s learning progress and credentials.
- After creating a Learn profile, additional login accounts can be added to that same profile:
- If the profile was created with a personal Microsoft account, up to five work or school accounts can be added.
- If the profile was created with a work or school account, one personal Microsoft account can be added (recommended so learning data is retained if employment or school access changes).
- Adding a login account that is already associated with a different Learn profile will trigger a profile merge, combining learning progress and credentials into a single profile. This merge cannot be undone.
To add another login account to an existing Learn profile:
- Select the profile icon in the top-right corner of Microsoft Learn.
- Select Settings.
- Under Account Management, select Add Login account.
- Sign in with the login account to add.
This setup allows one person to use multiple accounts with the same Learn profile, but does not allow multiple different users to share or be added to a single profile.
