To proceed with scheduling AZ-104 through Pearson VUE when the account or email is not being recognized, follow these steps:

    1. Create or verify a Microsoft Learn profile
      • Go to the Microsoft Certifications site and either:
        • Start from the certification overview or browse all certifications, then open the AZ-104 exam page.
        • On that page, scroll to Schedule exam.
      • When prompted, sign in or create a Microsoft Learn profile.
      • It is recommended to use a personal Microsoft account (MSA) to create the Learn profile, even if a work email is used elsewhere.
      • Ensure the Learn profile has a valid legal name that matches the ID and complete any required address and contact details.
    2. Start scheduling from Microsoft Learn (not directly from Pearson VUE)
      • On the AZ-104 exam page, in Schedule exam, select Schedule with Pearson VUE.
      • A dialog will appear (Transfer to Pearson VUE) asking for address, phone, and contact email. Fill these in and select Submit.
      • This step creates/links the Pearson VUE record from the Microsoft side; Pearson VUE then sees the candidate details coming from Microsoft rather than searching manually by email.
    3. Complete scheduling on Pearson VUE
      • After selecting Submit, the browser is redirected to Pearson VUE.
      • Choose test center or online proctored option, select date/time, and complete checkout.
      • If using any discount or voucher, apply it during the Pearson VUE payment step.
    4. If Pearson VUE still cannot find the account
      • If an “unexpected error” or account-related block appears (for example, issues caused by multiple failed payments), this is typically a Pearson VUE account issue.
      • In that case, contact Pearson VUE support using the Microsoft Certification support entry point so they can check and unblock or correctly link the Pearson VUE profile.
    5. After scheduling
      • Future reschedules or cancellations can be managed from the Microsoft Learn profile under Certifications, where the exam appointment will appear with a link to go to the exam.
