mail inbox is full, even though office 365 account was active and cant make a payment as well. pls see attached photo

The screenshot shows two separate limits:

1. Microsoft cloud storage (OneDrive + Outlook attachments + other apps)
2. Email storage quota in Outlook.com

In the image, cloud storage is under quota (about 63% used), but the email storage quota is over 190% (28.5 GB used of 15 GB). When the email quota is exceeded:

• Outlook.com will not let any more mail be sent or received.
• Messages sent to the mailbox while it is full are bounced back to senders and are not delivered.
• Even if the Microsoft cloud storage (OneDrive) is not full, mail still stops because the email quota itself is exceeded.

To restore mail and payments, the mailbox must be brought back under the 15 GB email limit.

Follow these steps in Outlook.com (web):

1. Open Settings and search for Storage to see the folder breakdown and total usage.
2. From the Storage page, for large folders (Inbox, Sent, Deleted Items, etc.), choose to permanently delete all items or items older than 3, 6, or 12 months.
3. Also empty Deleted Items and Junk/Spam folders; items there still count toward the quota until permanently deleted.
4. After deleting, stay below 15 GB. Once under quota, sending and receiving email resumes. At that point, retry any Microsoft 365 payment or billing operation that previously failed.

If more space is needed long term:

• Upgrade to a Microsoft 365 subscription to increase the mailbox limit to 100 GB.

Note that if Microsoft cloud storage (OneDrive + attachments) ever becomes full, Outlook.com will also stop sending and receiving mail even if the email quota is not exceeded, so both limits should be monitored.
