Browsing with Microsoft Edge often gets stuck and does not show any progress in Microsoft Rewards, even after spending a considerable amount of time browsing throughout the day. This issue is causing inconvenience and making it difficult to earn points properly.

Kindly check and resolve this issue as well.

    Hi Aaditi

I understand how inconvenient it can be when the Microsoft Rewards progress does not update even after you have spent time browsing in Microsoft Edge.

In the meantime, please try the steps below and check whether the Rewards progress starts updating:

    1. Make sure the same account is being used
    • Open Microsoft Edge.
    • Go to Edge > Settings > Profiles
    • Check which Microsoft account is signed in.
    • Then open: https://rewards.bing.com
    • Make sure the Rewards page is using the same Microsoft account.
    1. Use a normal Edge window
    • Please avoid using InPrivate browsing when completing Microsoft Rewards activities.
    • Close any InPrivate windows, open a regular Edge window, sign in again, then try browsing/searching through Bing from Edge.
    1. Clear cookies and cache for Edge
    • Open Edge.
    • Go to Edge > Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Clear browsing data
    • Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
    • Choose a time range such as All time.
    • Click Clear now.
    • Restart Edge and sign in again.
    1. Temporarily disable extensions
    • Go to Edge > Settings > Extensions
    • Temporarily turn off extensions such as ad blockers, privacy blockers, script blockers, VPN/proxy extensions, or similar tools.
    • Restart Edge and test the Rewards activity again.
    1. Test with a new Edge profile
    • Open Edge > Click your profile icon.
    • Select Set up new personal profile or Add profile.
    • Sign in with the same Microsoft account.
    • Visit Bing Rewards and try the activity again.

Progress and point-earning issues in Microsoft Rewards cannot be fixed from the browser side alone. When searches or browsing are not awarding points as expected, the account must be reviewed by the Microsoft Rewards support team.

To get this investigated and resolved, submit a support request so the Rewards team can check the account status, earning limits, and any restrictions that may be blocking points:

    1. Go to the Microsoft Rewards support page.
    2. Sign in with the same Microsoft account used for Rewards.
    3. Select the option to contact Microsoft Rewards Support.
    4. Describe that Edge browsing/searches are not registering progress or points, including how long this has been happening and any error messages.

Only the Rewards support team can verify the account configuration and correct any backend issues with earning or tracking points.
