Issue in converting MS Publisher document to PDF

In Publisher, the PDF keeps the page size and orientation defined in the publication. If the PDF is coming out as A4 and landscape, adjust the publication’s page setup and the PDF export options before converting.

Use these steps:

1. In Publisher, open the publication.
2. Set the correct page size and orientation:
   • Go to Page Setup (for example via Page Design → Size or the Page Setup dialog, depending on version).
   • In Page Setup, choose the required Paper Size (not A4 if you need something else).
   • Set Orientation to Portrait or Landscape as needed.
   • Confirm with OK.
3. Save or export to PDF with matching options:
   • Select the File tab.
   • Choose Save As (or Export → Create PDF/XPS document → Create PDF/XPS, depending on version).
   • In Save as type, select PDF (*.pdf).
   • Select Change (or Options in Publisher 2013/2016).
   • In the options dialog, verify the page range and any print options, then select OK.
   • Select Save or Publish.

The resulting PDF will use the page size and orientation configured in Page Setup and confirmed in the PDF options. If the PDF still shows A4 landscape, recheck that the publication itself is not set to A4 landscape in Page Setup and that no printer-specific settings are forcing A4.
