An Azure managed PostgreSQL database service for app development and deployment.
Sponsored subscription can't provision PostgreSQL Flexible Server in East US 2
Our Microsoft for Startups Sponsored subscription is blocked from creating an Azure Database for PostgreSQL flexible server in East US 2. The portal returns "Subscription is not allowed to provision in 'East US 2'." We tested a few nearby regions and got the same restriction in East US and South Central US, while Central US works fine.
We've already ruled out the obvious causes. There are no location-restricting Policy assignments on the subscription, the Postgres provider is registered, and East US 2 is listed as supported globally. Other Azure services like AKS provision fine in East US 2 on this same subscription, so this looks specific to Postgres flexible server on our subscription.
We tried opening an Azure support ticket through Help + Support and through the subscription's support page, but neither surfaces an option to create one despite the Developer support plan being active on this subscription.
Hoping someone here can either confirm whether the Postgres team can allowlist East US 2 for Sponsored subscriptions, or help escalate this internally. Thanks!
