Dear Microsoft Community Moderator,

Why can I not comment on the post 'NEW Outlook - LOTS of missing Features.' Nov 8, 2024?

There are a lot of missing features in New Outlook noted by the respondents in the string of comments, but you have not replied on any of them.

New Outlook is not fit for purpose. Who tested it? It's very well saying it's a 'Light' version, but that just means we cannot use it.

You are going to need to fix all of these issues before you withdraw support from the old version.

I would like to revert to the Old Outlook but it is not compatible with Copilot for the majority of users.

This is VERY poor support from Microsoft.

I have paid £175 for Microsoft 365 Personal and Microsoft 365 Premium, and the functionality is WORSE than what I had before.

The response from Microsoft 'Let's Chat' was:

  • Even though the feature exists on paper, it is not universally available yet.
  • The most common reasons you don’t see it are:
  • Rollout is still gradual (feature flagging)
  • Copilot in classic Outlook is being enabled tenant-by-tenant and build-by-build
  • Even eligible users may not see the button yet
  • License type mismatch
  • “Copilot Pro” (consumer) does NOT enable this
  • Only Microsoft 365 Copilot for business does
  • Account type Works only with work/school accounts
  • Personal Outlook (e.g., @outlook.com, @hotmail.com) won’t show it

Which isn't much use.
