Transferring Calendar from Outlook Classic to the New Outlook

Can this be done or not?

Just hangs if I try...

While I'm asking....

Loaded Outlook Classic on a new laptop, now cant set a reminder in the calendar, and existing calendar entry reminders dont come up? Why Not, how strange!!

So I'm stuck, cant transfer my very highly populated calendar to the new outlook and cant get reminders in the classic version.

Hi! It sounds like these may be two separate issues. On one side, you have an existing calendar in Classic Outlook that you would like to transfer or access in the New Outlook app. Is this happening on the same new device, or is the Classic Outlook calendar on a different device?

The other issue seems to be that you cannot set reminders in Classic Outlook. Could you please let me know exactly what happens when you try to set one? Do you receive any error message, or is the reminder option missing/disabled? Also, are these calendars/accounts using Microsoft domains such as Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, or Microsoft 365, or are they from third-party providers such as Gmail, Yahoo, or another email service?

A bit of background. I was using Outlook Classic on an old laptop which was still supported at the time and went through some updates. It supported reminders.

I am now using a new laptop, I installed outlook classic 2016 on to it, however I find that setting reminders is not supported - I get an error message to that effect if I try to create a new appointment with a reminder. Existing appointmemnts with reminders are not flagged at the time when the reminder is set for.

So I switched to the new Outlook, and tried to transfer the calendar in Outlook Classic to Outlook New using the method suggested by microsoft (export to a file) however when importing that file into the new Outlook it just hangs.

So, yes two problems.
